The HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the organization across three key HR pillars: Employee Relations (ER), HR Compliance, and Training & Performance Management. The role is responsible for fostering a compliant, fair, and high-performance workplace through effective management of employee issues, policy adherence, and initiatives that drive employee engagement and continuous performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations (ER) Case Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into ER cases including harassment, misconduct, and workplace policy violations.
- Ensure due process and documentation in handling corrective and disciplinary actions.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on ER matters, local labor laws, and company policies.
- Maintain and update the case management tracking system and ensure confidentiality and proper documentation.
2. HR Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and company HR policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and reports related to labor and employment.
- Keep policies up-to-date and aligned with legislative updates and best practices.
- Develop and implement compliance training for employees and managers.
- Monitor contractual employee arrangements and ensure all employment records and statutory filings are complete and compliant.
3. Training Development & Performance Management
- Identify required training programs for roles that need certification and assist employees with registration through external training providers.
- Collaborate with supervisors and department heads to assess training needs and develop learning solutions to address skill gaps.
- Support the development and implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS).
- Facilitate employee engagement surveys, feedback sessions, and related improvement initiatives.
- Assist in talent management programs including succession planning, competency development, and career pathing.
- Partner with supervisors and department managers in executing learning and development plans.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive HR experience with focus on Employee Relations and HR compliance in the Philippines.
- Experience in performance management systems and OD initiatives is strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE guidelines, and employment best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to conduct sensitive investigations with neutrality and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
