  • A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and presentation in guest rooms and other areas of a hotel, resort, or similar establishment. Their primary role is to ensure guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay by providing clean, well-maintained rooms.
  • Job Description:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Clean guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, replenishing towels, and restocking amenities.
  • Sanitize bathroom fixtures and surfaces.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Ensure cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, and elevators when needed.
  • Guest Service:
  • Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or services in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude with guests.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning supplies and room amenities.
  • Ensure that items such as toiletries, linens, and other room essentials are well-stocked.
  • Safety and Security:
  • Follow hotel safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Lock doors, windows, and secure any valuables within the room when cleaning.
  • Special Requests:
  • Fulfill guest requests for extra pillows, blankets, or any other special needs.
  • Set up rooms for specific events, such as welcome amenities or decorations, as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping supervisors, front desk personnel, and maintenance teams, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a cleaning role is typically preferred but not always required.
  • On-the-job training is often provided.
  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., bags of linens, cleaning equipment).
  • Must be able to work in various physical conditions (e.g., standing, bending, lifting).
  • Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials is a plus.
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience is a bonus.
