- A Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms in a hotel, resort, or similar establishment. Their primary goal is to provide guests with a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Cleaning & Preparing Rooms:
- Clean guest rooms, including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
- Replenish guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, and minibar items.
- Ensure all furniture, appliances, and equipment are in good working order.
- Guest Requests:
- Respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra towels, pillows, or toiletries.
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken furniture, leaking taps) to the maintenance team.
- Maintaining Cleanliness Standards:
- Ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for check-in as per the hotel's standards.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Stocking and Organizing:
- Organize and stock housekeeping carts with necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the linen room is well-stocked and clean.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with the setup of rooms for special occasions or events.
- Assist with laundry duties if required.
- Provide feedback to the supervisor about any guest complaints or issues.

- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or as a room attendant is preferred but not always required.
- Skills:
- Good physical stamina for cleaning and maintaining rooms.
