Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities of purchasing, procurement, and inventory management.
• Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Analyse operational data, identify trends and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the team, fostering skills development and performance growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and securing reliable supply chains.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry.
• Proven track record in effectively managing inventory and procurement processes, focusing on operational efficiency and cost control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners.
• Proficient in supply chain management software and inventory management systems, with the ability to leverage technology for process optimization.
• A motivated team player and leader, capable of inspiring, developing, and managing a high-performing team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
