- A college diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment, with prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food production processes and equipment
- Proficient in using production management software and tools
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a production environment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, such as boxes of ingredients or finished products, as required
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (e.g., refrigerated or frozen areas)
- Must be able to work with various food processing machinery
- Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, depending on the production schedule
- The environment may be noisy, with the presence of machinery and equipment
- Regular shifts, including evenings, nights, or weekends, may be required depending on the production schedule
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
- Cut, debone, or grind pieces of meat
- Weigh, wrap, and prepare meat products based on request specifications
- Cut or prepare meats to specifications stated in the requisition forms
- Store meats in refrigerators or freezers at the required temperature
- Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
- Sharpen and adjust knives and cutting equipment
