We are seeking a seasoned and strategic QA Lead to spearhead quality assurance efforts for our Core Banking Modernization Technology Project. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of a robust and reliable banking platform, with a strong emphasis on teller functions and financial transaction integrity. The ideal candidate will lead a team of testers, define QA strategies, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of software quality.
Leadership & Strategy
Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and best practices for system integration and automation testing
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and tools
Test Management
Oversee the development and execution of SIT test cases aligned with business and technical requirements
Ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability across all phases of testing
Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to align testing efforts with project goals
Facilitate QA reviews, walkthroughs, and sign-offs with internal and external stakeholders
Represent QA in project planning, risk assessments, and go-live readiness discussions
Automation & Innovation
Champion the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
Identify opportunities for automation in regression and repetitive test scenarios
Evaluate emerging QA technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial
Reporting & Compliance
Provide detailed reporting on test progress, quality metrics, risks, and mitigation plans
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks
Support audit and documentation requirements for QA activities

Qualifications and Education (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in software testing, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership role
Proven experience in managing QA teams and delivering large-scale testing projects
Skills & Knowledge:
Deep understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA best practices
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Preferred Skills (Good To Have)
Background in teller systems, banking applications, or financial transaction processing
Experience in core banking modernization or digital transformation initiatives
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the Philippine banking sector
ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
Experience with performance testing and CI/CD integration
Expertise in test automation tools and scripting (e.g., Selenium, TestNG)
