1. New Business and Product Research, Development, Planning and Implementation 

1.1. Researches and identifies new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, 

trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing 

markets 

1.2. Prepares market studies, feasibility studies and business plans for new products and new 

projects shortlisted by top management. 

1.3. Conducts further research on potential new products and new businesses that have been 

selected by top management and develops business models thereof. 

1.4. Works strategically and carries out necessary planning in order to implement operational 

changes 

1.5. Monitors status of new products and new businesses that have been implemented, and conducts 

analyses and makes recommendations for improvement and growth, as needed 

1.6. Liaises with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate 

2. Business Strategy, Planning and Budgeting 

2.1. For new products and new businesses approved by top management for implementation, 

coordinates with the Marketing Department for the preparation of the 6Ps and Launch Plan. 

2.2. Prepares the BDD’s Annual Business Plan and Budget and the semi-annual updates thereof nd 

as required by management.  

2.3. Monitors actual performance of the BDD versus targets and budgets, and prepares status 

reports thereof as required by management 

 3. People Management 

3.1. Enables and trains team members - arranges internal and external trainings as necessary 

3.2. Monitors and evaluates performance of and train subordinates as per HR and management 

protocols and makes recommendations thereof.  

3.3. Takes the initiative to attend seminars, conferences & events where appropriate 

• At least 5 years' work experience in new product and new business development, market research, industry research, planning and execution, preferably in an agribusiness environment or food processing industry. With Financial Analysis experience. 
• Graduate of a business course, preferably related to Agriculture or Agri-business.
• Must be adept at feasibility studies and financial analysis.

TECHNICAL POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
