An Inventory Clerk in a retail shop is responsible for managing and tracking the store’s inventory.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, record product quantities, and ensure items are available when needed. Update inventory records accurately.
Stock Replenishment: Order new stock based on sales trends and inventory levels to maintain product availability.
Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
Product Organization: Ensure that products are correctly stored, organized, and labeled to streamline the process of stocking and retrieving items.
Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries: Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are received.
Data Entry: Input inventory data into the computer system and maintain accurate inventory logs.
Assist in Sales Floor: Support the sales team by restocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring merchandise is displayed properly.
Reporting: Provide regular inventory reports to management, highlighting any issues with stock levels, potential shortages, or overstock situations.
