Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree – usually BS in Accountancy (or BS in Accounting Technology with further studies).
• Experience Level: 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Accounting
• Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks software
• Qualities and Traits: Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Qualities and Traits: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification - administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
• Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to analyze and interpret financial data for accurate reporting

Passing this exam grants the title Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Further Specialization / Advanced Studies (optional, above CPA)
• Master’s in Accountancy / Business Administration (MBA) – for leadership roles.
• CPA + International Certifications – many Filipino accountants also pursue:
• ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK)
• CMA (Certified Management Accountant, US)
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor, US)
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst, US) if they lean toward finance.
