Role Summary
- The Finance Manager will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer and will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s core financial operations, ensuring sound financial planning, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in financial management, preferably with a solid audit background from a top-tier audit firm (EY, SGV, KPMG, or similar), and exposure to technology and/or trade-related industries. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with PFRS and other regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and LGU financial requirements and submissions.
- Serve as the lead liaison during annual audits and coordinate with external auditors. Transaction Integrity & ERP Implementation
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant booking of financial transactions within the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Collaborate with IT and operational departments to streamline ERP integration and maintain data integrity across modules. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior leadership.
- Provide financial forecasts, variance analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct financial reviews of new and ongoing projects, including government contracts and trade-related transactions.
Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and funding needs of the business.
- Assist in the management of banking relationships and ensure proper execution of financial transactions.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and assess financing needs in line with business growth. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Evaluate, improve, and implement financial controls and risk mitigation measures across all accounting and operational functions.
- Recommend process improvements, financial system upgrades, and policy development to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise and mentor members of the finance and accounting team, ensuring high performance and adherence to timelines and policies.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with operations, procurement, legal, and business development teams.
- Exposure to trade-related finance or import/export transactions is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Philippine financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory environment.
- Strong command of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel for modeling and analytics.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working under pressure in a fast paced, scaling environment.
