Civil Design Engineer (Project Based Employee)

Reporting to: Head, Civil-Structural and Architectural Design

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare the detailed engineering design for Maynilad Projects based from the applicable local and

international design standards such as ISO, AWWA, NBCP, NSCP, ASTM, ACI, UBC and other

internationally accepted codes or standards

2. Prepare the technical bidding documents and reports the work progress status to Project Line

manager

3. Conduct accurate and timely evaluations of bid proposals and construction submittals such as

request for approvals and variation order claims

4. Liaise with other engineering design discipline and other stakeholders for the proper coordination of

design works and ensure all requirements are understood

5. Participate in the technical meetings, design reviews and discussions with consultants, contractors,

suppliers and other stake holders.

6. Provide necessary technical support such as risk assessments, investigations and engineering

studies to the project management team to address project related issues

7. Prepare and register all relevant documentation requirements in compliance with Maynilad’s

Integrated Management System.

8. Provide necessary technical support such as risk assessments, investigations and engineering

9. Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure

compliance with the project's requirements.

10. Provide necessary technical support by evaluating Request for Information/Acceptance and Technical

Assessment Requests.

11. Participate in the development, review and updating of the Maynilad Standards

12. Learn and apply new and emerging technologies

13. Does other related engineering and management tasks as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION

 Licensed Civil Engineer

WORK EXPERIENCE

 With at least one (1) experience related to civil-structural or architectural design

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

 Knowledgeable in the local and international Civil/Structural Codes and Standards

 Capable of using CAD tools/Software such as AutoCAD and other design software.

 Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations

 Proficient in the following civil/structural engineering design fundamentals:

 Proficient with MS Office Programs

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
