Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering Course or related field. 
  • With more than 10 years of successful experience in the commercial aspect of the oil and gas industry.
  • Thorough understanding of needs/analysis selling. Must have strong account development and management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong personal initiative and the ability to problem solve.
  • Must possess solid interpersonal written and oral communication and presentation skills, a professional demeanor and a team attitude.
  • Ability to interact with all customers at all levels, from corporate management to the end user in the field.
  • Proficient knowledge in fuel storage operations and logistics is an advantage
  • Willing to do field work.

 

Job Description:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in fuels, lubricants, asphalt, POBS, Fleet Card, and related sectors. This role involves seeking opportunities, participating in tenders or bids, and exploring new markets, including forming partnerships with local industry players. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the commercial aspects of the oil and gas industry, with additional knowledge in fuel storage operations and logistics being highly advantageous.

 

  1. Business Opportunities: Identify and secure new business opportunities in fuels, lubricants, asphalt, POBS, Fleet Card, and related sectors.
  2. Tenders and Bidding: Seek opportunities and participate in tenders or bids to secure contracts and expand business.
  3. Market Exploration: Explore new markets and develop business opportunities, including partnerships with local industry players for fuel, asphalt, and lubricant storage and distribution.
  4. Market Intelligence: Gather market intelligence, monitor industry trends, and analyze competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
  5. Lead Generation: Generate and track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions through CRM tools, including Salesforce.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as Supply, Operations, Logistics, Legal, Credit and Collection, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  7. Strategic Insights: Provide insights and recommendations to the management team based on market analysis and customer feedback.
  8. Communication: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.

 

PROCESSES:

1. Facilitate regular discussions with the Sales Management Committee to ensure the proper execution of approved plans, assess progress, and conduct evaluations.

2. Control operating expenses through effective utilization of company resources. Coordinate with the Sales Admin Assistant to monitor that expenditures remain within budget.

3. Collaborate with the Credit and Collection (C&C) department to ensure the implementation of credit and collection policies.

4. Propose pricing schemes for prospective accounts.

5. Prepare and review sales contracts, ensuring that all terms and conditions are fulfilled (contract management).

6. Validate and endorse proposed selling prices.

7. Review and endorse account opening and amendment requests for approval by the Vice President of Sales.

8. Transition secured accounts, tenders, or bids won, and signed contracts to the corresponding sales department.

9. Visit prospective customers to establish good rapport.
