The BI Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines and reports supporting internal and external

Carenet clients’ reporting requirements. Additionally, any technical activities associated with meeting client expectations,

coordinating, and communicating across disciplines and departments with a focus on integrating quality improvement and

operations.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Design and build sleek, interactive reports and dashboards that impress both internal teams and external customers. (Power BI is your canvas!)
Craft pixel-perfect, paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder that deliver exactly what’s needed—no fluff, all facts.
Participate in requirement/implementation meetings to understand the business needs and document requirements.
Build and optimize data models, tables, views, stored procedures, and queries
Move data seamlessly across systems using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and other cool tools. Think of it as a high-speed highway for your data!
Monitor, debug, and fix data pipelines and data flows before they cause chaos. (No broken pipelines on your watch!)
Hunt down data quality issues like missing values, weird anomalies, or sluggish queries—and fix them before they become problems.
Protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, ensuring everything stays secure and compliant with company policies.
Follow enterprise security rules and make sure your data playground is safe and sound.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IS or CS from a four-year college or university with at least 5 years of experience;
Proven track record developing reports using traditional (e.g., SSRS) and modern (e.g., Power BI) BI stacks.
Proven track record developing and optimizing ETL / ELT pipelines using SSIS, ADF, or other tools
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Active

Directory.

In-depth knowledge of the following technology, tools, and languages: Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS

and SSRS), T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL, PBRS. Primary focus on Microsoft Power BI.

Experience in connecting to various data sources: SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, APIs, and flat files.
Knowledge of Python or PowerShell is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or

governmental regulations.

Proficiency in performance optimization: Query optimization, reducing model size, and optimizing visuals.
Understanding of data governance, including metadata management and data lineage
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information

and respond to questions from managers and customers.

(Preferred) Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
(Preferred) Azure Fundamentals or Azure Data Engineer Associate certification. (Fabric specific efforts)
