Tessera is a luxury jewelry manufacturer and retailer based in Quezon City, Philippines. Founded in 2011, the company initially focused on custom necklaces and later shifted to retailing diamonds in 2012. Tessera is renowned for its iconic ear cuffs, such as the "Three Stars and The Sun," "Alab at Dangal," and "Pearl of the Orient" pieces, which have been worn at prestigious beauty pageants like BB. Pilipinas and Miss Universe.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Jewelry Store Manager located in QC, Philippines. The Jewelry Store Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, overseeing retail loss prevention, and maintaining store management standards. The manager will also be tasked with providing exceptional customer service and effective communication with both customers and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of the jewelry store, ensuring efficient functioning.
  • Ensure the store meets company standards for presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is adequate and well-organized.
  • Handle cash register, process transactions, and ensure accuracy in sales reports and financial records.

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers, providing information on jewelry products, prices, and promotions.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Upsell and cross-sell jewelry and related items to maximize sales and meet store targets.
  • Implement customer loyalty programs and follow up with customers to build lasting relationships.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage sales associates and other store staff.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to ensure high levels of customer service and product knowledge.
  • Create staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage staff performance and development.

Inventory & Merchandising:

  • Monitor and manage jewelry inventory, ensuring all products are correctly tagged, priced, and displayed.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to order new merchandise and ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner.
  • Implement store promotions and seasonal displays to enhance sales and create an attractive shopping environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits.

Marketing & Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote store events, sales, and promotions.
  • Develop local marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and increase brand awareness.
  • Use social media and online platforms to engage customers and promote the store’s offerings.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor store budgets and ensure financial goals are met.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and analyze performance data.
  • Ensure the store is operating within budget, while striving to meet or exceed sales targets.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including safety protocols.
  • Oversee security measures to protect valuable jewelry and minimize theft.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a jewelry store manager or in a retail management role.
  • Strong knowledge of jewelry products, including different types of gemstones, metals, and designs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle difficult situations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and sales tracking.
  • Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in the luxury goods or jewelry industry is a plus.
  • Certification in gemology or jewelry design is an advantage.
Work Environment:
  • The store manager will typically work in a retail environment with regular interaction with customers.
  • Must be comfortable working weekends, holidays, and during peak business hours.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and handle delicate jewelry items.
