About the role



As a Collections Specialist at REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC.', you will play a crucial role in the company's customer service and collections operations. This full-time position is based in Iloilo City, Iloilo, where you will be responsible for proactively managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payment of outstanding debts.

What you'll be doing

• Contacting customers to discuss and resolve outstanding payments

• Negotiating payment plans and settlements with customers

• Maintaining accurate records of customer account activities

• Escalating unresolved cases to the appropriate team or department

• Identifying trends and patterns in customer payment behaviours

• Providing feedback and recommendations to improve collections processes

• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related course.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a collections or any accounting role

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
