Hybrid Position in Cebu

With its mission of "Turning encounters into innovation," Sansan provides its namesake Sansan B2B solution powering digital transformation in companies, the Eight business card app for individual professionals, Bill One for cloud-based invoice management, and the Contract One contract database.

We are expanding globally, starting with Southeast Asia. To this end, we're establishing engineer teams in Cebu to develop Bill One.

The Cebu/global development team is mainly focused on building new features for a worldwide audience, as well as supporting effective localization of products and services initially designed for the Japan market.

We seek ambitious software engineers to help us in these endeavors. They will do this by understanding and improving our products and their features, integrating and scaling them to new markets, and perceiving and prioritizing user experience and needs.

Objective

• Sansan is a product-based company and not an outsourcing business company. Each engineer will be expected to proactively improve usability for our users.
• The development process does not end with a product's creation. We will continue to evolve the features we have released as we incorporate the feedback we receive from our users around the world.

Responsibilities

We're seeking members to launch the development of Sansan Data Hub in our Cebu Office. Sansan Data Hub is the data integration function for the Sansan sales DX (digital transformation) solution. The Sansan platform dominates with an 82% market share in Japan.

Sansan Data Hub’s functionality enables Sansan to be integrated with customer management tools and marketing automation, so that companies can centrally consolidate the data scattered throughout them.

Sansan’s ultimate aim is to be customer data infrastructure for any type of company. We strive to establish a worldview in which our functions are indispensable for effective use of customer data.

In this position, you’ll be handling all phases of development projects, from software design to implementation, testing, and release. Depending on your experience and intent, you’ll aim to eventually be responsible for leading and managing the Data Hub team at our Cebu development center.

Key features of this position

Sansan Data Hub is a product that solves the problems that inherently come with customer data (e.g., incorrect, outdated, and missing information). You'll be involved in developing a product that is unique but is universally adaptable for becoming business infrastructure. You’ll continue to expand your technical skills as you work with complex domains such as data consolidation and service integration.

The development team for this product now consists of approx. 20 Japan-based members. There is a good balance of senior, mid-level, and junior contributors, creating an environment in which you’ll learn and feel motivated.

This is not an “offshore" coding position. Rather, it’s a position where you'll be involved in product growth as a member of the product team.

Required skills and experience

• 3+ years of experience in a web application development sequence (C#, Java, Python, Go, Node.js, Scala, etc.) from initial to late-stage development
• Experience developing with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle

Preferred skills and experience

• Proven experience as a Team Leader or Technical Lead in software development.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Development, particularly in C#.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases, including their design principles and real-world applications.
• Advanced proficiency in developing scalable and robust applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing and managing Microservices Architecture.
• Domain knowledge in Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration and ecosystem.

Working ConditionsWorking hours

• Standard: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Early start option: From 6:00 a.m.
• Latest possible start: 10:00 a.m.
• Must work 8 hours/day
• 1-hour lunch break
