Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
- The candidate will be responsible for Service Business in cement production lines whilst seeking out opportunities in non-Cement Opportunities. The ideal candidate must have a hunter mindset for new business development and be technically adept, capable of working closely with a regional sales manager and a Singapore-based technical team to deliver tailored client solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure business growth in spare parts, field services and modernization in the Philippines in cement and non-cement sector.
Main Tasks
- Maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers, identify decision makers within the client organization and coordinate ongoing transactions
- Process customers’ inquiries with respective to the company’s products/services in Philippines
- Clarify technical issues with customer to arrive at a suitable offer and follow up offer status in order to achieve order intakes target
- Research and develop new customer relationships in Philippines in cement and develop market in non-cement sector
- Pitching products, services, spare parts and solutions to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
- Prepare, develop and maintain technical and commercial offers, sales records and sales reports in coordination with other functions
- Plan, direct and manage the full operations of PH office to achieve its business plan and financial objectives consistent and integrated with the overall POL APAC strategy and values.
- Drive full-cycle sales processes – from lead generation, client engagement, proposal, and negotiation, to closing deals.
- Take over existing accounts in the cement industry and develop new client relationships, particularly in the mining sector.
- Ensure adherence to strict corporate processes and standards aligned with German HQ practices.

Experience (Education):
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA degree is an advantage.
Experience (Work)
- Mandatory background in cement plant equipment sales or operations; experience in mining is highly preferred.
- Extensive Experience in Sales – minimum of 5 years
- Strong network within the cement or mining sectors is a significant advantage.
Competencies:
- Good decision making based on understanding of potential risks related to orders, customers, schedules etc.
- Understanding of mechanical and process related equipment in the cement/mining industry
- Ability to solve complex challenges in the field of cement and mining.
- Eager to learn, highly motivated, ability to work independently yet a good team player.
- Proactive management style and capable of reviewing and managing strategies, plans, budgets, schedules etc.
- Capable of working in a matrix organization.
- Strong clients focus and engagement.
Skills:
- Familiar with IT applications like SAP, MS Office, CRM.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Filipino (preferred).
Others:
- Willingness to travel extensively in Philippines.
- Ability to travel occasionally abroad.
