Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Guidance Counselor at Chinese International School Manila located in Taguig. The Guidance Counselor will be responsible for the following:

• To provide professional and confidential counseling sessions to students (lower school), staff, and parents, either individually or in groups.
• To provide individual counseling to students (lower school) with personal or psychological issues.
• To advise, support and liaise with colleagues across the school in the provision of counseling services and strategies needed by students and staff.
• To organize, attend, and conduct interviews with parents as part of counseling services to identify issues that affect students' school performance, as needed.
• To convene family or case references to address academic, emotional, or behavioral problems.
• To provide individual or group guidance for developmental concerns such as learning disability, interpersonal relationships, drug use, and bullying issues.
• To identify behavioral problems or at-risk students, and propose appropriate counseling strategies.
• To assess student attributes, evaluate their progress support them to develop their personal and academic skills, and implement personal goals.
• To act as mediators among students, or between students and teachers, in case of conflicts.
• To provide leadership, management, administration, and other relevant tasks

Qualifications

• Student Counseling, Career Counseling, and Counseling skills
• Experience in Education and Psychology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field
• Relevant certifications in counseling or school psychology
• Preferably can start as soon as possible
