A Credit Investigator is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses by conducting in-depth investigations into financial histories, credit reports, and other relevant data. They assist in making informed lending or credit decisions.

Strong knowledge of credit laws, financial regulations, and credit reporting systems.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents and credit reports.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and investigative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using credit scoring software and databases.
Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a degree in finance or related field).
