Description
The Accounting Associate assist the Senior Associates with administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping functions. Their duties typically include clerical tasks, such as filing and answering telephones, as well as performing basic bookkeeping tasks, and preparing financial documents.
Principal Responsibilities
- Compiling and reviewing the financial information.
- Preparing financial forms, documents, and reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial statements.
- Assisting with tax filings, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll processing.
- Complying with federal, state, and local legal regulations and requirements.
- Maintaining records and filing systems.
- Answering telephones and handling routing correspondence with clients.
- Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies •
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
- Perform additional duties as requested by the management as and required
- Maintain the complete confidentiality of all the information pertaining to the firm and client
- Attend other tasks that may be assigned at any given time by the Manager, Supervisor, or Partner
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any related 4-year course.
- Experience in SAP system and tax filing
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- Knowledgeable in using Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting related system.
- CPA is a plus
