Cross-Border Payments BD Expert - MENA Region (UAE/KSA/Egypt)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Expert to spearhead our cross-border payment initiatives in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. The role will specifically focus on cross-border payment solutions and business scenarios along the payment corridors between the MENA region and Greater China Region. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in the financial technology and payments landscape to drive partnerships, expand market presence, and ensure seamless integration of cross-border payment solutions.

Strategic Planning and Market Research

• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the MENA cross-border payment industry.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve growth targets.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting cross-border payments in the MENA region.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Partnership and Relationship Management

• Identify and establish partnerships with banks, payment processors, fintech companies, and other key stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms and agreements to secure mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with partners and clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Sales and Revenue Generation

• Drive revenue growth by promoting our cross-border payment solutions to potential clients.
• Create tailored proposals and presentations to address client needs and showcase our value proposition.
• Track and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize strategies.

Product and Solution Integration

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of payment solutions for clients.
• Provide feedback to product teams to enhance features and tailor solutions for the MENA market.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the payments or fintech industry in the MENA region.

Skills and Competencies

• Deep understanding of cross-border payment systems, financial regulations, and industry standards in the MENA region. Familiarity with local payment and settlement networks, local cross-border and foreign exchange regulatory policies, with a focus on cross-border payment interactions between the MENA region and Greater China.
• Strong network of contacts in the payments and fintech ecosystem in MENA.
• Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to operate effectively in diverse markets.
