Mateo’s Restaurant Café and Events Place is a charming Spanish‑Filipino dining venue nestled in a converted house at 54 N. Domingo Avenue, Brgy. Horseshoe, Quezon City, Philippines. Founded to honor the legacy of Mateo del Castillo—a Spaniard who settled in Batangas, became a businessman, and later supported the Filipino resistance—its menu features heirloom recipes blending Spanish and Filipino flavors such as paella, callos, crispy bagnet sisig, seafood pasta, and homemade ensaymada. With a warm, homey ambiance enhanced by glassed walls overlooking a small garden, wooden furniture, clay–brick accents, and mismatched china reminiscent of a traditional bahay na bato, it offers a cozy yet elegant dining experience.
