You take ownership of projects and know how to bring the best work out of people? Become a serial entrepreneur's right hand and Employee #1 of a new startup made up of humans working closely with agents. With direct access to decisions, real responsibility, and unusual room to grow. The position combines the freedom of fully remote work from anywhere in the world with working Philippine/Southeast Asian daytime hours.
You will first help improve an established coworking business, then help test and launch a new venture - likely SaaS/AI/Agents or agent-supported services. We are building a new type of company in which capable humans work alongside AI agents. You will help build, evaluate, and improve those agents, with training provided. Technical curiosity matters more than existing agent-building or coding experience.
Your central job is to turn fast-moving discussions and messy input into clear decisions and execution, keep projects and open loops moving, improve operations, get things done and own increasingly substantial projects as you build context.
The role include some Executive Assistant-level tasks like listening with notetaking, brainstorming, co-working sessions by video, and mutual accountability - giving you the context to become an increasingly independent operating partner, while keeping the founder productive.
Responsibilities
- Founder partnership and project ownership - join live working sessions, ask useful questions, sharpen ideas, take concise structured notes, turn discussions into action, and take projects from an unclear starting point to a useful finished result.
- Operations - improve how the existing business runs, create structure where needed, monitor priorities and performance, coordinate people, remove blockers, and close loops.
- AI agent management - learn to build, brief, test, evaluate, and improve agents and human-agent workflows. This is where leadership, operations, judgment, and technical skills meet, with opportunities to learn simple coding and debugging.
- Marketing - help execute initiatives, experiments, content, and positioning. Because marketing is one of the founder's weaker areas, strength here could make an unusually large difference.
- Product and venture building - understand user problems, plan tests, and turn promising ideas into product requirements, user stories, and coordinated execution.
- Support other high-value work, including hiring, customer research, people leadership, and practical research.
What excellent performance looks like
- No important task dies quietly. If something is blocked, you investigate, follow up, and escalate with a useful recommendation.
- After a messy conversation, you can explain what matters, what remains unclear, and what happens next.
- You do not confuse project management with maintaining a task board. You take responsibility for the outcome.
- You know when to act independently, when to ask, when to challenge an assumption, and what the founder actually needs to know.
Job Requirements
- Exceptional English, close to educated-native level. You can follow fast conversations about unfamiliar topics, understand nuance and implied meaning, and express complex thoughts clearly and precisely. Accent does not matter.
- Typically 4-8+ years of strong professional experience, with evidence of owning projects, operations, clients, or cross-functional results. Candidates with less than four years are welcome only if their experience and achievements are unusually impressive.
- Strong ownership, exceptional follow-through, and good judgment about priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and what information matters.
- Confidence to manage up, ask for missing decisions, challenge respectfully, and clarify misunderstandings early.
- The ability to move quickly while knowing when careful thinking matters more, plus the resourcefulness and technical curiosity to investigate unfamiliar tools, agents, workflows, and problems.
- You think ahead, notice downstream effects, and reflect on your work so you keep improving your judgment.
- You communicate concisely and separate the important from the unimportant, especially when updating the founder.
- Emotional maturity, a positive can-do attitude, comfort with direct feedback, and some experience coordinating, leading, or influencing people.
- A focused workspace, stable internet, and dependable call availability. Nomading is fine if your setup remains professional.
What kind of role is this, and where does it lead?
In addition to the Project Manager (mostly) and Executive Assistant-level (less) responsibilities. The position combines elements of a Founder's Associate, Business Operations Manager, Program Manager, Product Manager, Operations Lead and AI Agent Manager - with training for the agent work. As responsibilities grow, for ambitious and talented candidates it can develop toward Chief of Staff, Head of Operations, or COO.
This is probably NOT a fit if..
- You mainly want a standard Virtual Assistant, appointment-setting, lead-generation, customer-service, or repetitive administrative role - or if that's all your work experience shows so far
- You need detailed instructions before taking the next step or require stable, clearly defined priorities at all times.
- You think project management mainly means updating statuses, or you avoid difficult follow-ups and challenging misunderstandings.
- You become defensive around direct feedback or have little interest in learning technical skills, AI agents, products, and new ways of working.
Why this role is exciting
- Work directly with a serial entrepreneur on real decisions, products, operations, and business-building - unusually close exposure to 0-to-1 entrepreneurship.
- Combine the reality of an existing business with the ownership and possibility of building a new venture.
- Become Employee #1 and help shape how a human-and-agent company operates, rather than joining a finished corporate machine.
- Learn AI agent management, product development, simple coding, and technical problem-solving through courses and hands-on work.
- Take on increasing responsibility, with many potential paths in the organization, especially around agent management (a key job of the future) and/or Product Management. For ambitious candidates - Chief of Staff, Head of Operations, COO.
- Have visible impact: your work should and will make the founder, team, agents, and organization significantly more effective.
