Cantonese/Mandarin Bilingual Interpreter

TransPerfect Connect (TPC) is looking for highly fluent Interpreters (Mandarin or Cantonese) who want to use their bilingual skills to make a real difference.

As an Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreter (VRI), you will help bridge language gaps across industries such as healthcare, legal, customer service, and financial services.

What You’ll Do

• Provide accurate, consecutive interpretation between English and your Target Language (Mandarin / Cantonese) (healthcare, legal, financial, customer support).
• Ensure neutrality, clarity, and cultural accuracy while preserving tone and intent.
• Handle live calls with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
• Use note-taking, memory retention, and active listening to manage complex conversations.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and training to strengthen interpreting skills.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma (required); college degree preferred.
• Fluency in English and ANY of below Language
• Mandarin
• Cantonese
• Must be B2+ proficiency or higher.
• Ability to pass a language and interpreting skills assessment.
• Strong verbal communication, emotional control, and professionalism in fast-paced situations.
• Can legally work in the Philippines (Filipino citizen, permanent resident, or with the right work visa)
• With or without interpreter experience—fresh talent is welcome!
• Open to working the night shift

Work From Home Requirements

• Quiet, distraction-free workspace.
• Desktop or laptop (Windows/Mac) with at least 16GB RAM, no older than 5 years.
• Stable wired internet: 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload minimum (no hotspot).
• Functioning webcam; Windows 10+ / macOS Big Sur (OS 11)+.
